I found your site linked from Dig Deeper, which in turn was linked by Luke Smith; I read your last two blog entries. Thank you for being vulnerable online and giving the rest of us permission to look at ourselves and do the same. I look forward to reading more!

I love what you've done with the place, you were one of the main people that helped me get into this hobby in the first place. Seeing your new site almost feels a bit like meeting a celebrity. Do you have a button that I can link on my website?

The way you said this right at the homepage really resonated:
"One thing you'll learn if you stick around here long enough, is that I tend towards intensity. I think in some ways it was easier to be myself as a teenager. That's because it's much more socially acceptable for a teenager to be dramatic and intense and emotional. I don't think I have it in me to be laid-back or casual, except as a poorly-fitting and hollow disguise."
I have always felt this way, but now I know why I am poorly-fitting. I'm just bad at disguising the intensity of my emotions in a world where being pale is rewarded. Thank you for this!

Just on my way, cruising through the forums, seeing all the ones people made, each with its own history, set of visitors, connections, interpretations, just marveling at and drowning in the sonder. Trying to learn HTML/CSS as well, and kinda intimidated by the skill of other people, haha. Amazing stuff.

Hello, I recently became interested in creating some expressive art but in the form of a website. I found neocities and straw.page and have been playing around with them. I had the idea to "cheat" and copy paste code instead of typing it all out. Anyway, I came across your website while looking for code to copy and alter. I really like your website and I've been going through it with interest. Thank you for creating all of these resources, they're very helpful. I think you're a really cool person and I hope you keep creating.

Beautifully organic and pleasing site - and I enjoyed and was influenced by your manifesto; thanks!
You attract some very strange people, see below... I presume that I'm one of them... there's no such thing as normal -
